Advertiser User Agreement
Effective Date: June 18, 2026 | Version 1.2
Critical Delivery Requirement: Web Browser Compatibility
To ensure your ads render successfully for listeners in web browsers (including Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari), you agree to provide creatives exclusively in standard **MP4 (H.264/AAC)** format for video ads, and **MP3** format for audio ads. Apple QuickTime **.mov** files are strictly unsupported. Files that fail to play due to unsupported container formats will automatically bypass in client browsers to protect stream flow, and you will not receive impression delivery credits.
01. Acceptance and Purpose
This Advertiser User Agreement ("Agreement") forms a legally binding contract between BrijStream PaaS ("BrijStream") and the advertiser, agency, or individual registering for an account ("Advertiser" or "You"). By creating an Advertiser Account or launching any ad campaign, you agree to comply with all provisions herein.
BrijStream provides a verified streaming marketplace connecting advertisers to listeners via targetable audio spots and companion display creatives.
02. Verified Impression Measurement (The Brij Object Rule)
Every ad impression served by BrijStream is tracked, verified, and accounted for in real-time by a client-side **Brij Object Heartbeat**.
- An impression is only counted as "delivered" and charged to the Advertiser if the user's viewport / browser continues to pulse a valid heartbeat signal every 1 second during playback.
- If a browser tab is silenced, minimized, or backgrounded in a manner that pauses media rendering, the Brij Object halts. You will only be billed for the actual verified playtime.
- BrijStream guarantees that bot traffic, automated scripting, and background crawlers cannot simulate the required coordinates and pulse signals, preventing waste of media spend.
03. Campaign Controls & Pausing Mechanics
Advertisers retain full operational control over their budget, targeting criteria, and campaign status through the Ad Manager dashboard.
Real-Time Campaign Pausing Policy
When a campaign status is toggled to **"Paused"**, the platform's ad selection router (`get_next_ad_v2` RPC) immediately flags the campaign as unavailable. Active player clients will cease receiving the ad within 1 second. Unused budget is held securely as an in-app credit and can be redeployed at any time.
BrijStream is not responsible for delayed delivery or residual impressions which are already in-flight (buffered) on a listener's device at the exact millisecond of pausing.
04. Ad Quality & Content Moderation
To protect listener experiences, BrijStream moderates all uploaded creatives.
- **Content Ratings:** Creatives are evaluated by automated models and human curators to assign safety classifications (G, PG, PG-13, R) matching the listener audience filters.
- **Prohibited Content:** We strictly reject creatives featuring explicit sexual audio/video, hate speech, threats of violence, or unregistered financial products.
- **Creative Specs:** File size limits are capped (10MB for video, 5MB for audio, 2MB for images). Audio spots must have a minimum resolution of 128kbps.
05. Financial Terms, CPM Rates, & Billing
BrijStream operates on a Fixed-CPM pricing model (expressed in USD/USDC equivalent).
- Minimum self-serve deposit is $10 USD.
- All advertiser deposits are finalized upon loading. You can settle balances in USDC (Circle or Fireblocks rails) or regional fiat equivalents.
- **Creator Splits:** 70% of your ad spend is split and routed to the content creators (artists, publishers, songwriters) whom the users were listening to at the time the ad served. These ledger settlements occur immediately on impression success.
06. Listener Rewards & Non-Skip Safeguards
BrijStream promotes user engagement by offering listeners BRIJ token credits for watching ads. To maintain the integrity of this rewards loop:
- **Skip Restrictions:** Listeners must complete content tracks naturally. Skips do not award track play credits, meaning users cannot spam skip to trigger rewards.
- **Fair Play:** Any attempt to artificially manipulate user ad views via auto-clickers, multiple sessions, or script injections will trigger a `ForceStop` block, immediately halting ad display and revoking ad views.
07. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
BrijStream makes no guarantees regarding the exact sales conversion rate, click-through rate, or audience demographic precision of any campaign. The Platform is provided "as is". Under no circumstances shall BrijStream be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost revenue or profit, arising out of delivery downtime.
